Encouragement from the north

Here is an email report I received this morning from my time in the north of Sweden:

Hello martin!

We have to tell you that one of the clocks it was not going, now is going. I, Anita, saw in at lunchtime the same day you left from Umeå. I hade to call Björn and ask, did you pot in a new battery he did not of course. The clock has been standing still for more than 6 month.

We praise God for this sign.

Do you know Umeå had a big rain last before you left in one night so much as for a whole summer. We have never heard of such thing in Umeå before.

Do you remember Nadja you prayed for her in Fredrika, she had a baby. The handicapped daughter she had at home 2 years old could not stand on her legs the day after she could stand on her legs.

Thank you lord for breaking yokes.
Anita

(Clocks starting as a sign has been consistent over this past year of the shift in time… and Sweden is in a major shift in time, almost like a jolt of movement is taking place.)

Wild Fire Walk to Cardiff

Leeds to Birmingham

24th-27th Aug, 2007

Over the last five years many of us have taken to the road to mark out the word of the Lord, across the UK and further a field. Whether it be the flash floods that broke as we walked to the Tower of London two years ago, the momentous mid winters day as we stood in St Peters Sq at the conclusion of a 12 year season, or the sight of lightening breaking over the Parthenon in Athens the Lord has continuously marked out our paths. Even this moment, the terrible fires in Greece is a marker, with ancient Olympia coming under threat.

Fredrika, August 28

Fredrika: this is a small community but a very powerful area spiritually. There is an attempt to build a major Buddhist temple there that will be a centre for the whole area and beyond. I am sure that the site they have chosen for the high place is an ancient place of worship and I suggest that the actual site for the temple is on or beside some kind of ancient burial ground. The high place is then situated with water all round, seeking to draw from the leviathon spirit. The buddha statue is based on a snake… It was good to go on site and declare a futility over this work.

Lyskele: Mon. Aug 27

Lyksele: this city is known as Sami Stockholm and is a very significant city spiritually in the north. It is not a large city, being around 13,000 people but is a place that is being planted ‘on the map’. The city is celebrating 400 years of specific history for in 2007 a church was built in this place to ‘christianise’ the Sami people. Typical of these interactions land was taken and culture was suppressed. One of the signs of the Spirit of God at work is the work among indigenous peoples in the world, and next year there is a world gathering of indigenous believers in Jerusalem.

Day 3: Umea

After a final morning in Lulea I took a 3 hour bus ride south to Umea.  This is a major city in the north of the country with a significant university. Well what a challenge – a sleepy Sardis (for those who work with city types this is shorthand for a city of mercy / development /arts etc. but is asleep). However, we had a good breaktrhough and I was told that the freedom that came had not been there since the 1980s.

Lulea Day 2

I will try and keep this brief. Had a great day, teaching and prophesying into this area. We are in a Gateway area and all the typical things are here. It is an area pregnant with something and I am pleased to find really open people, and open to new shapes. Biggest privilege for me today was to sit and talk with a Sami person (original people)

Lulea: Day 1

Arrived in the north of Sweden and am about 1 hour from the arctic circle by car. Beautiful area and after a 4.30am get up time will be ready for bed tonight. Tomorrow I will have three sessions here for the region. I see the area as fruitful for new things. There is currently a youth movement in the area that is outside of existing church.

Sweden

I am off to Sweden on Friday – itinerary is now on my dates and there is a Swedish site that can be accessed too which gives all the dates and venues in Swedish:

http://www.martinscotts.blogspot.com

From the dates you will see it is a heavy and strategic itinerary: 16 cities and 34 gatherings…. Oh for the church beyond to rise!!! It is strategic as many years ago I saw a move of God coming from the north to the south and then the west to the east. This is the very journey I will be on. I do not see myself as adequate for this… but am ready to go.

I have completed the notes for the day on September 22nd on an introduction to Eschatology: covering such issues as world-view and the book of Revelation. Anyone registered on my main pages will be able to access these under ‘wiki’.

Steve Lowton is on the road to Birmingham on Thursday and you can read below what he is carrying

A post from Lee Ann Thompson on Martin of Tours

At the beginning of the year Lee Ann sent through – and I circulated a perspective on the year being one of entry ‘through the eye of the needle’ . She is someone I have come to trust in her prophetic insights. This one caught my attention – not just because of the name Martin, but because I have looked into Martin of Tours and his example. For those who are well diggers / old anointing retrievers and love the release that is coming of the new monastic orders this one is for you… and everyone else will definitely get something out of it (and I admit it I made some of the terms above up)!! So go on click on Read the rest of this entry….

Signs for Rio de Janeiro

There have been some major signs over the past period of time in Brazil. Not knowing that Rio does not get strong winds I made a declaration in October 06 that before 12 months would pass that there would be strong winds that would come to the city as a sign that there was a cleansing coming. I have just received this email…
