This was a day catalysed by Val Baskerville and Sue Sinclair to look at the issue the Gateway places in the nation and the protection of the coasts. Around 130 or so gathered from all over the nation – the sense of a call gathering us together was amazing as there had been no brochures / major mailings to get people there.

The amazing thing about the day was that on that morning the BBC4 news had said ‘This is National Maritime Day. We have 2500 miles of coasts – they are our connection to the nations and they need to be protected’!!! We had never heard of such a date before but it set the tone.

Wild Fire Walk

Leeds-Birmingham-Cardiff, Sept 2007

Having just returned from Cardiff I can say with complete confidence that prayer walking will never be the same again. For some months, thanks to the Holy Spirit boldness of some of those the Lord has gathered, we have been pushing for a release of the healing life of God through the towns and cities we walk through. In these last few days, with a massive infusion of life from the welsh fires, we have truly seen what it means to be mobile church, touching an incredible mix of apostolic proclamation, deep intercession, healing on the streets and two people finding the path of salvation.

I write just as I am about to finish the final weekend here in Stockholm. I will try and write a fuller summary report and perspectives for the sowing seeds reports later. The prophetic school has been very fulfilling: one person had a picture of a garden for someone – the name of the garden was the person’s middle name; another saw a person in a savlation army uniform: they are part of the salvation army in another city… words of knowledge, visions etc., people breaking out and realising they already do hear the Lord.

On Saturday 22nd September when I returnn from Sweden I will be at the Bridge, Kingston Road, Leatherhead, KT22 7RB from 1.30-5.00 pm. I am doing a few sessions on eschatology – probably 2 as an introduction and then one on the book of Revelation. They are planned then to be put on DVD so we are not looking for a big audience. If the DVDs prove to be useful we will follow up with other sessions later.

This is an interesting city and area. Having driven from Boras in the morning we visited two major histroic sites in the afternoon: the place where the first king that was baptised in 1006 and then to the place where Pentecost first fell in Sweden in 1906. we went to the upper room where the Spirit fell on a few people at Christmas that year. The fire was carried from Azusa Street and the fire services were called as the building was on fire. When they got there the said the place is not on fire, as the flames were above the building.

I am currently enjoying my day off. Had a great visit from a couple where there was a real need of healing. Once we dug in there we discovered that there was major witchcraft at every level – her father is a Colombian witch, and also Satanists in the family. God is good and she left totally pain-free. I also had the email below – just indicates that we are here at the right time. Be encouraged if Sweden is shifting as a finishing nation then we can have confidence to press in now.

I have been in the immediate area of Gothenburg Thursday 6 to Saturday 8th. This is on the west of Sweden. I, with others, have prophesied that there is a sweep of God’s Spirit coming from the west to the east, so it is always good to come to this area. It is a major pleasure to be here for these reasons and also because this has been the door of entry for me in these past years.

The main issues here have been that we had time on one of the islands off the coast – this is a place for major past revivals, so it was great to call for the opening of that old well, and to proclaim that we can only receive the old anointings when we are committed to what is new. We had a great time with many leaders in the city and were able to push them somewhat toward unity and change.  Then the final day was on the east of the city – in the eastern gate. Here I taught on prophecy for a day and then the evening was for shifting something in that gate.

Those who are involved with this journey are coming through to a new level of faith and joy. Hope is rising, and the commitment to a fresh future is growing increasingly. Loyalty to old systems is going and a hunger for the Spirit of Jesus is growing.

Today I am in Boras with good friends who have stood and pioneered in prayer to open the gates for a new outpouring. From here we make our way to Stockholm the capital.

These days are just marked by a journey that the Lord has appointed. It is a deep privilege to be here… to know that we are living in a moving history.

An early start at 7.30am on the road to go speak to a Bible College…. there are Bible Colleges and Bible Colleges so I was not sure what to expect. But here is an amazing setup that is developing. The shape is to have a Celtic monastery on site and the premises they have for it are quite wonderful. There was an original wave of Celtic missionaries that came to Scandinavia to evangelise and it was a great experience to be on site. I thought back to early 98 and prophesying in Reading, Berkshire that there would come a new monasticism in the land.

I taught on land, then more on the emerging shape of the body of Christ and what is taking place in Europe. Good questions on Islam, homosexuality, abortion etc. We pursued how we will not push those aspects back while we are in wrong alignment with political power and are unwiling to embrace change. So we explored the further weakening of the church until we come to know that only God is our Provider and our Protector (see Luke 10).

We simply had a great day here. The city is a Sardis type (development, but succeptibel to new age etc.) and just right for the release of something that will influence the nation.

This is a city in the south of Sweden just across the water from Denmark. I think we had a time here where we were able to kick start something. First though a comment from a good prophetic couple who are in Orebro… read, be encouraged and challenged!

Oh my word…! the Body of Christ being delivered from the church..!!! What a liberating statement…. I am still living with the “lowering of the bar” concerning making disciples, and making it high… for the church…. the church has apparently become everything Jesus NEVER intended it to be…

I so desperately want out of professional church-life and into real, everyday relationship – where there is friendship, accountability, love and and true heartchange… and great meals around a kitchen table!!!!!!!! I don’t think anyone of us can truly change without having, and living in, true relationships in the Body! I don’t want us to live in an isolated environment where we have to “struggle” on our own…
