Editorial Vol. 1.1
by Martin Scott
Welcome to the first of what I hope will be a ongoing series of articles that will loosely be shaped into a magazine. Each ‘volume’ will be published occasionaly so as there is time for discussion to develop. Initially I will take the material that has been growing on the forum and publish it here.

Gates: an introduction
by Martin Scott
In seeking to analyse what can help facilitate transformation I am suggesting that there are three aspects that can be pursued. The final one, being the subject matter in hand, that of occupying the gates.
Abraham’s promise
by Martin Scott
There were promises made to Abraham that we can summarise under two headings: land and people. Repeatedly he was told that he would be given land and that his descendants would be very numerous. But there is one new promise that is given to him in chapter 22 of Genesis that I believe is very important for us.
Gates or mountains?
by Martin Scott
Language is important even if it is not possible to totally determine what is understood by a particular usage of specific terminology. Let’s try here to bring some things together in one place regarding terminology.
A world impacting faith
by Martin Scott
The faith we have is a world-impacting faith. The claims of Jesus are not the claims that are simply outworked in private. They are in the public arena. This surely is why Paul’s proclamation is made in the most public of spaces.

A pessimistic pre-millennial view will suggest we should not be looking for much to change, and perhaps even to expect the world to become increasingly a dark place.
Health, science & technology

If we believe that we are the fullness of Him who fills all in all, then those of us with a calling to this amazing gateway of healthcare, science and technology need to understand who we are and how we have been gifted into this sphere; we can then stand up into the full measure of who we are supposed to be and bring as much life and goodness as possible in to the place of our calling.
Arts & entertainment
by Chris Bourne
Just Imagine… about the arts as a city gateway. “Composer, sculptor, painter, poet, prophet, sage – these are… the architects of heaven.”
Healing & Faith: Part 1
by Andy Knox
This is a huge topic to open a discussion on, and I am so grateful to Roger and Sue Mitchell for some hugely helpful work they did on the 9 gifts and 9 fruit of the Spirit and how they kind of line up with each other. In the Greek there are 2 words which mean healing.
Business, commerce & trade
by Martin Scott
When coming to this gate the first thing that probably needs to be said is not some clever exposition of the nature of the gate but an apology for the way that those who have or who currently handle significant finances have often been treated by church. Too often church leaders have seen those people as economic resources for the vision of the church. This effectively can communicate that they do not have intrinsic value…
