A small act of kindness

A small act of Kindness

Edinburgh is a place with a story tellers house. I enjoyed the city in the summer and when the opportunity to go back opened up I jumped at the chance.

Photography has been my passion for a long time, it teaches me to look and notice. After spending time with a camera, it’s possible to see differently. Observing things that without a camera might be missed.

So wandering round the city with my camera, I saw a lot of people waiting, sitting and standing. Some waiting for friends, or a bus, some reading the paper and others waiting to be notice. Those begging for money on the street and sometime I saw random acts of kindness.

(Deborah Robinson lives in Preston.   She has recently started a course entitled – People and Place. These photos will come up over the next few days. She has a fantastic website at www.nenlalaithphotography.co.uk

Fiesta time in Palma

DSC00634

Out tonight with our new neighbours. They’re taking the meat, we’re bringing the drinks and out we’ll go on the streets where bbq’s have been set up for general use and bands will rock the night away.

Community. It’s good.

Hope it doesn’t rain!

Who is he?

Wouldn’t you love to know more??  Who is he?  What is his story??  I snapped this man as he headed off who-knows-where with his lettuce on his purple bike…

more palma 002

I love looking at people and wondering.  Who are you? What have you seen?  What do you think about?  And how come some people have an easy life and others a nightmare?  And how how is it fair that some are born rich and others poor?  And what about the people in Haiti?

I don’t know how you reconcile these things ….but we pray for them and for this man and for their individual stories…God meet them …..please…
