Sunset over Rome. I’m reading “eat, pray, love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. At the moment she’s in Rome putting on two stone of weight through eating pizza and ice cream. Amazing city and so in the spotlight at the moment. One empire ruled then died then another and another based in Rome. Started me wondering about the Pope and all the money and control in the Vatican and the far-reaching sometimes-good sometimes-bad influence that a Pope and that system has….maybe it too will become a fallen empire?
