‘Organic Church?’

My Granny (aged 97) took us on a walk to show us this while we were visiting her this year, it’s made out of living willow trees in Taunton, UK.

Nice Ice

The world famous Icehotel in the very north of Sweden. Unfortunately by the time we got there it had all but melted! But still it is extraordinary. It has over 80 rooms including a chapel and bars that are built each year from snow and crystal clear ice, taken from the waters of the local river Torne. Cooool. Literally.

It’s not the right angle that attracts me…

The Oscar Niemeyer arts centre in the Asturian city of Avilés.
He said: “It is not the right angle that attracts me, nor the straight line, hard and inflexible, created by man. What attracts me is the free and sensual curve – the curve that I find in the mountains of my country, in the sinuous course of its rivers, in the body of the beloved woman.”
