'Open' Zoom Meetings

In developing the work on the four books (Explorations Series) I realised there would be value in opening up the discussion beyond the books and the themes covered in there. Those evenings will look to cover either something theological or practical. Those two terms of course are not exclusive.

If you wish to be on an email list that I will use to inform you of the next Zoom gathering use the form below to let me know. (The form below will add you to an email list that I circulate with details of the Zoom link, it is not necessary to fill it in as I will also post the link on my ‘posts’ page.)

Come ready to participate to whatever level you wish. Perspectives about the season we are in; questions that can be put in the room. All welcome.

In each evening, I am sure, we will discover that we are at different positions (theologically and pastorally) before, during and after the evening!

It will be vital that we come ready to listen. We are not looking to come to a conclusion, but to be enlightened.
Dependent on numbers part of the time will be in breakout rooms so that we can all get involved. I expect that we would be finished by 9.00pm UK time, so the whole evening should not be longer than 90 minutes (planning to start at 7:30pm UK time).

Next Open Zoom

In February I have set a Zoom date (Wednesday February 20th, 7:30pm UK time) where I will present material looks at the famous passage of Jesus as recorded in Matthew 24 (maybe 'famous' because of the oft-quoted 'wars and rumours of wars'). There is a video recordingand a pdf (10,000 words) to go with this evening.

At the heart of this is:

The signs are addressing the people present and the fulfilment of 'all these signs' being in the lifetime of that generation (40 years)… hence in the fall of Jerusalem in the Jewish Wars of 66-70AD.

I also hold that the rather cryptic passage in 2 Thessalonians 2 is fulfilled in that epoch.

If there is sufficient interest I will repeat the evening on March 6th. It will be helpful if attending if you could either watch the video and / or read the article. Use the menu and go to 'Journals' and then Volume 4 is what you want to access.
