I am making an interlude in my pre-70 posts (resuming tomorrow) as we (the corporate ‘we’) are beginning to see an important shift in our world.
Quite some time ago Gayle had a very significant dream – she has many but I have never witnessed her so impacted as a result. The dream as we understand it focused on Europe as the place where a response took place and it was a huge protest about the situation for the Palestinians in Gaza. We are beginning to see this right now – and we have to have huge respect for the protests within Israel itself – in cities, in concerts that suddenly erupt in protest, in airports. It is happening, or at least beginning to happen.
I appreciate there are differing views on Israel, the land and ‘eschatological’ events but currently the level of genocide with the complicities of many of our nations and mega-companies is beyond intolerable.
The second part of the dream was as a result of the European voice on Palestine was that of a serious shift in the banking / economic world. The focus was on the children. A major ‘god’ to be confronted in the Old Testament was Moloch and it is the continuation of that alliance that is what drives so much of the global western economy. That ‘spirit’ is placated and will bless today if we are willing to sacrifice the next generation (child sacrifice). We have to see a return to ‘seedtime and harvest’ – we sow today for the future harvest, so much of what underpins the economic western structure is that we borrow from a future that has not yet appeared to fund today. Global debt… If we as individuals were to run our finances in the same way we would be imprisoned.
I pause on my reflections because soon I will not be here (even if I live to my 132 fantasy age!!!) but it is all about the children. ‘Take off your shoes Mr. Banks and play with the children’ was where Gayle’s dream ended. ‘And a child will lead them’ (Is. 11:6).
Follow the money… otherwise we will not see clearly and will not sow to a future where (the subsequent verses) come into view:
They will not hurt or destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
We have entered a major crack in time. 2008, 2020 and now 2025. We watch, bear witness.

Thank you for investing in what you share as part of …
How can we intercede for such a time as now to see ‘divine exchange’ take stock..
Hey thanks for the comment and also the question. The BIG question. I guess if I hold an optimistic point of view then 2008 – 2020 – and then now are building one on the other… if pessimistic then we missed some opportunities back then to build. I think the intercession question is so critical and also if we add that intercession is as much to do with where / how we stand as to what we pray we are deeply challenged.
For me the big picture is that of the economic justice aspect. 2008, 2020 made huge impact on economies BUT the gap has increased as a result… and I suspect that in many quarters there has been a shift from ‘good news to the poor’ and ‘do not forget the poor’ to pray for Israel (while ignoring the prophetic call to pray for the shalom of Babylon).
If ‘Mr. Banks’ is to take of his suit, tie and shoes to play with the children (last part of Gayle’s dream) we have to see a shift of focus. Forgiving debt has been a theme but in economic terms which nations are in debt????
I suspect we will all have personal (and maybe small) choices to make – each one can be one of the coins thrown in to the temple treasury, cos the big shifts when the righteous do small things.
So many threads seem to be coming together at this time… and I think that where people (believers and others) are touching power for their cause they are touching something toxic. The danger for those of us of faith is that we might be tempted to think if we get the position of power what we can do – it is not a time for power but presence… for those who sit in the seats of power I think a judgement is coming and will happen quickly to those seeking to silence the marginalised…
Part of this season is like Habakkuk – stand and watch so that the vision does not delay.
And the lack of answers above I think illustrates either my lack of sight or that we are on a trajectory that maybe past experience cannot help us too much.
On Saturday, the day before your post, I prayed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. I have no understanding, really, what this was about. I didn’t even know what to pray. Only, I had the sense to prayer walk a square on the paved area in front of the Stock Exchange entrance and thereafter saw a unit, maybe a century of angel soldiers assemble in that very field to move in.
Sunday, I recovered trusting Jesus ways and my life under His purposes and into His hands without having to understand what He is doing. When I did that, the Spirit came. My sense is that this is what Jesus asks of His children and their leaders for that next generation. And they are already moving towards what God has asigned for them, although they don’t quite understand it yet.
